Long Sleeve T-Shirt Versus Sweatshirt
fShareHow is a long sleeve T-shirt different than a sweatshirt?
Today while blogging I got confused about whether to call this garment "long sleeve t-shirt" or "sweatshirt". According to dictionary.com, a sweatshirt is
"a loose, long-sleeved, collarless pullover of soft, absorbent fabric, as cotton jersey, with close-fitting or elastic cuffs and sometimes a drawstring at the waist, commonly worn during athletic activity for warmth or to induce sweating."
This sounds very broad and hard to understand with no pictures. So I did some Google image searches and came to the following conclusion:
If the pullover has ribbed waist then it's called a sweatshirt; otherwise it is a long sleeve t-shirt.
Photo #1 is an example of a sweatshirt. Photo #2 is a long sleeve T-shirt.
